Real Weddings: Bring on the BLING!

By Lynn Wheatley

We're so excited to share this Real Wedding from Lasting Impressions, filled with tons of bling! One of the nicest things about working with a bride like Stacy is that she knows what she likes – PINK and BLING.

It was simply up to us to fill in all the blanks and deliver the pinkest and blingiest wedding imaginable.  As always I turn to my team of wedding professional s to pull the design all together.  It may not take a village, but it does take a small army of pros interacting and cooperating.

We started with the venue –Glenpool Conference Center – perfectly spacious and ideal for “revealing” the evening in four parts:  1) the ceremony outdoors in the amphitheater 2) the cocktail area in the glass foyer 3) dinner and cake cutting in Ballroom B and 4) the after party with dancing and candy bar in Ballroom A.  As the evening progressed, the air walls were removed to reveal first dinner and then the after party.

After the colors and linens are selected, we look to OMNI Lighting to make sure that the room is romantically lit and the tables are lighted.  Stacy and Jason wanted a special bridal table so Parties Plus Productions draped the entire 22 x 12 bridal table with soft fabric and hung not one but THREE of Lasting Impressions new chandeliers over the table.

Catering Connection provided memorable food and libations – including warm chocolate chip cookies and shooters of milk late in the evening.  DJ Connection’s Matt cranked up the volume and kept everyone dancing.  Cakes by Rosebeary Designs created a beautiful bride’s cake and a replica of the OSU stadium for the groom.  We enhanced the cakes with custom plateaus.

Stacy carried a cascade floral arrangement by Ladybug’s to accent her stunning Lazaro wedding gown from JJKelly.  Absolutely gorgeous.  Her maids were in bright fuchsia – also from JJKelly.  Jason’s tux was from Beshara’s.  Hair by ARCS and makeup by Glamour Arts completed the fashion picture.

We like all the paper components to be consistent and Virtu Creative designed table numbers, menu cards, escort cards and programs that had what else?  Bling, of course!

As usual, Lasting Impressions provided all the top of the line designer linens and flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception.   We designed three centerpieces with accompanying candleholders and added crystals to the vases.  The center of the large rectangular bar featured an ice sculpture by our favorite ice carver – Millennium Ice.

The couple departed in a PINK Hummer from Kristal Limousine – naturally.  What a wonderful evening and most importantly captured on film by two of Tulsa’s finest wedding professionals – Chris Humphrey Photography and Von Wedding Films.  Thanks to Mark and Trisha for the wedding detail video and we’ll post more of Chris’s fabulous photos online in the gallery very soon.

Wedding wishes . . . Lynn
