There are times when you just can’t be happier/luckier/more blessed than when you have a family as clients and there are THREE daughters. Even better is that they honored Lasting Impressions as planner/designer for ALL three weddings.
January 2006 – MOB and friend came to a wedding show in Tulsa looking for help; daughter was about to be married and wanted the wedding outdoors on a beautiful estate in the fall. It was magical – the setting, the evening was perfect, the Bride gorgeous (still is) and the Groom handsome and adorable (still is).
Because the grounds of the estate were uneven, we used ten tents in a configuration to house the ceremony and reception. Live band. Bright colors and lighting everywhere.
Meanwhile daughter number two was engaged and at the end of the wedding evening, Father of Bride(s) asked if we would help plan the second wedding? Of course!
September 2007 – Second gorgeous daughter walked down the aisle at a local Tulsa church, then held a beautiful reception at The Mayo Hotel. Completely different look and colors. Deep corals, bronze and burgundy with formal overtones. Again, live music and another FUN party! Bride and Groom looked as if they walked down a runway – such a perfect couple (still are).
Meanwhile, little sister was making a name for herself as a clothing designer and living on the West Coast. Fast forward to 2013. Call from Mom. We have a third wedding! Back to the gorgeous country estate but a totally different design and configuration. Ceremony outside on the terrace, reception under a big tent in the pasture, after party in the barn with – you guessed it – live music and more FUN.
Bride was stunning in her couture gown – self designed. Groom in a Hugo Boss suit looked like a GQ cover page. We called it Fairytale Rustic - but with an elegant flair. Soft champagne, blush and peach tones. Garden bouquets on the tables, candles everywhere.
And of course the Bride’s two sisters and brother-in-laws were included as well. These photos say it all. This is a family dynasty worthy of their own TV show. And all along, we’ve been privileged to be a part of their lives.
Footnote: to date, these unions have produced six children and another on the way!
